Andrew Larsen
Andrew began his higher education journey in 2011 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute studying Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in May 2015, followed by a Master of Science degree in December 2015. He completed the team based Interdisciplinary Qualifying Project (IQP) ‘Dark Sky’ in 2013 and the team based Major Qualifying Project (MQP) in 2015. Details here.
Andrew sought a career path that would challenge him creatively. He was accepted into Rhode Island School of Design’s Master of Architecture program in 2020. He received his Master of Architecture degree in 2023. His thesis project, WAST3D POTENTIAL, proposed a unique 3D printed building block made from recycled waste plastic. The blocks are assembled into walls and secured with rods. His architectural interests center around 3D printing, modular construction, and sustainability.
Andrew is currently pursuing architectural work related to the above themes as well as custom craft projects. His hobbies include photography, fine automobiles, and kayaking.
